Hey All.

Quick question on Photoshop.

I need to put some text above and below 12 different images.
The text will just go on a black background.
The 'banner' text will be the same for all 12 images.
The text below the image will be customized.

I dont use photoshop much at all, and it has been a while since I opened it up.

I'm assuming the best way to do this is create a layer for the banner, a layer for the footer, and then a layer for the image. I would need to adjust the size of the canvas for the layers so I have room for banner and footer and image.

Anywho, I just thought I would post and get some guidance on the best way to go about this, as I need to do it a number of times, and would rather start out on the right track. It will be good to get back into in and refresh my memory a bit.

Any input appreciated.

I have Photoshop CS3.

Thanks in advance.

I would create just one layer for the text and use enter / return to go down to the bottom of the image and type the footer text. Just copy this layer to all over your images and edit the footer text in each and also adjust the position of the footer by pressing return more or deleting some gaps to make it go up. Doing it this way will ensure you always have it in the same alignment throughout the images and also faster because you are only working with one layer and can only have one thing copied at a time. Have fun!
