Found this info myself on twitter, its mentionned no where on redmondpie or other forums.. and its a serious progress.

i would like the unlock as well..i depend on the carrier unlock....just got an iphone 4 for the holidays and can't use it..

Even though I don't need the unlock, it'd be cool if it came around New Year's. NYE is my holiday.
edit: Untethered Xmas doesn't work for this atheist. 😛

Do you think I will have to of had 4.1 JB to be able to have this 4.2.1 untethered JB?

I have yet to JB my Ip4

Like said above we dont know what or how yet.
Maybe you'll need 4.1 or maybe those 4.2.1 beta3 shsh's cydia saved for us will come into play to untether our devices. 😉

awesome, I have been waiting for this to upgrade to 4.2.1, hopefully it will be confirmed that you can keep the 1.59.00 baseband on 4.2.1 by then also.

Cool, I ma glad that his latest work is working better now, last time i was in the IRC it wasn't too promising.

Dev team just released a Video using the 4.2b3 kernel and it allow to use the old exploit to make the JB untethered, A bit more extensive than Comex workaround but a JB nonetheless 😀 (I am making my way to the limited underground access i got to see if i can get my hand on that one)
