Tips for email?

If I have one complaint, it's the lack of push email.

I have set up Mail with our home account and there are terrible delays in receiving emails. For example, I emailed myself from my gmail account and despite hitting "get mail" repeatedly, eight minutes later, it hasn't show up yet.

Is there an obvious fix for this that I'm missing?

That's probably less a function of the e-mail client and more a function of the server.

Normally, I would agree, but I didn't have this issue on my old PC and get the messages lickity-split on my phone.

Interesting. Download Thunderbird and see if it still takes forever to get an e-mail.

So after some research, it seems I jumped the gun.

There are server side issues, but the timing of them happening around the same time that I switched computers threw me off.
