First off, I'll apologize for posting a question when I am not an active member of this forum, but I'm at a loss right now...
I'm having issues getting my iMac to recognize my 2nd gen iPod shuffle 1gig. When I put the iPod on the dock, the green light flashes like it's charging, but my iMac won't recognize it and show it on the desktop or start iTunes. (I have an iPod classic that works fine w/ the computer.)
I took the iPod w/ the cord to the Apple store tonight and they plugged it in to 2 different machines there and it was recognized right away. The tech @ the Genius Bar said that I have to be having some sort of software issue. I went through the tech support steps on the Apple web site, even as far as reinstalling iTunes on my computer with no success. Any ideas???
