I was looking for a folio type case that looked and felt professional. All the cases I've seen at Apple, Target, AT&T, etc...all were nothing special to be found. So I did some searching on this forum and the net, and found that people liked the Yoobao Magic and Slim. I went with the slim, well for I'm thinking its slimmer and not a fan of those 3 groove-type cases. Well, it was definitely worth the $40 I spent for it! Top quality stitching and love that its real leather. Ordered on Mon and got it today, Wed.

So, anyone looking for a folio, look no further!

Only downside (for me) is that I use my iPad in landscape 99% of the time and like the speaker on the top right. With the case, the speaker is on the bottom left when in "typing position". Not a deal breaker at all.

Thought I'd share some pics with everyone :D

wow that is a nice looking case. Thanks for posting this, I'll be getting my fiancee one of these along with her iPad for X-mas instead of the Apple case I was planning on getting her. She will love this.

Just wondering if the slim can fold flush all the way back.

Thanks.

Just wondering if the slim can fold flush all the way back.

Thanks.

I can fold it all the way back to still use comfortably when on the couch or in the bed

I like that i can lay the flap down in my lap and then just angle the iPad anyway i like..the leather feels great in the hand than grabbing the slippery aluminum back

Hope this helps

Not much at all

If anything the added thickness and weight makes the case more luxorious

Makes the apple case look like a $2 amazon case IMO

I'm loving this case so much!

This is easily the best case Iíve used for my iPad. Just bulky enough to hold but still feels slim in the hand.

Glad you like it

Def agree with you, I won't need another case

Hoping the 2nd gen stays the same with just internal upgrades, just so I can keep this case :D

I guess this doesn't answer my question.

Can you fold the cover flat behind the iPad like the Apple case or does it form a little wedge?

it folds all the way back, but doesnít sit completely flat because of the leather tab on the back of the case. I wouldnít call it a wedge though. itís flat enough.

Also, are you still as happy with the case as you were in December??

Is it not possible to insert the iPad the other way to avoid this?

I have one of these and it's my favorite iPad case so far (I've gone through the Apple case, a Dodo case and a Portenzo case). My one minor complaint is that the leather tab gets softer over time and it becomes more and more difficult to get it into the slot when using the case as a stand.* But it's a problem I can deal with and it certainly doesn't cause me to reconsider the purchase.

Just ordered mine. I made the mistake of ordering the Griffin Elan last week only to check out the reviews and notice that it blocks access to certain functions on the iPad. Is this case the same as the AYL Slim 4-in-1 that's sold on Amazon? It comes up when I search for "Yoobao Slim."

I thought it was open all the way round apart from where it held the iPad in at the four corners and there were no port openings. Can someone confirm if i am wrong?

Thanks

I'd like to know this also. If it's open all the way around you should be able to pop it out and turn it around so the home button is on whichever side you want in either position (like the Macally case).
But the OP said you can't do that with this one because the ports don't line up? I don't understand that because in the pics it looks open on all 4 sides & only connected by the 4 corner tabs.
This is a deal breaker for me. If it's open on all 4 sides I'll be buying it though.

Found them on Amazon if anyone was interested.

Black (http://www.amazon.com/Yoobao-Leather-Protective-Cover-Kickstand/dp/B0042J6AC2/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1296952884&sr=8-3)

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/412GRhvqL9L.jpg

Brown/Tan (http://www.amazon.com/Yoobao-Version-Leather-Protective-Kickstand/dp/B0042JC16G/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1296952884&sr=8-5)

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51qLun1PCtL.jpg

On a side note, these cases look exactly the same as the Macally bookstand. Only difference is it's covered in leather. OP how is the flap on the front? Is it pretty stong feeling? Or does the leather feel like its covering at thin piece of cardboard?

Ksane

I've since found them also, thank you. I believe the OP was wrong saying it can't be popped out and turned around either way. Macally is my all-time favorite case but I've always wished it came in genuine leather. Now it basically finally does :-) I'm buying'!

The iPad is held by the corners only, so you can flip it around. The tab feels like leather but at the end there is something used as filler as it is thicker.

I recently purchased both the slim and the magic case from amazon sellers. I used the Magic for about a week and a half before returning it due to the problems i ran into with the glue wearing out around the clasp. The Yoobao Slim is smaller, less prone to problems closing, the front flap folds much nicer around the back, and though it offers fewer positions for typing or viewing, its just a much better all around case in my opinion. If you're trying to decide between the slim and the magic, go with the slim.

As far as the macalley case goes, I've never owned one, but i recently check it out in store. They feel cheap and the tab felt like it would come off at the slightest tug. The material the tab made out of is some vinyl type that just didn't feel like it would hold up. This Yoobao case is excellent so far.

I have the Chinao case and was wondering what the veiwing angel on this case is. Anyone that owns the black slim can they measure the card bit in typing angle mode and get back to me on here in cm or inches? Much appreciated. Im prob going to order later tonight if its higher than Chinao - it looks it & better case as no felt covering the screen.

Thanks.

2 1/2 inches

Thanks! The Chinao is 1.8 inches so it should be, for me, a better typing and viewing angle - and i dont think the silver border of the iPad should be hidden. In the Chinao the iPad loses its wow factor (for me the user) - it becomes a sort of a toy rather than a tablet.... decent case but too conservative.

Chinao = Burqa. Yoobao = Mini Skirt!! ;-)

I ordered the Yoobao Slim last night so hopefully ill get it in the next day or so.

Anybody have any regrets buying it based on usage not alternative cases?
