does connecting an iPod leave a trace on a computer?

Can I find out if a particular iPod has been conncted to a computer? Is there a place to look to see if iPod serial number ???????? has been connected to a computer?

As long as the iPod was an iOS Device or an iPod Nano 6G, there should be a back-up file listed in iTunes.

Go to:

iTunes > Preferences > Devices > Device Back-Ups

That should provide you with a list of devices synced to the computer in the last 2 years.

This guidance is of course assuming you are using iTunes on a Mac. I'm sure there is a method of doing this on PC but I have no way of finding out for you.
