So i just bought a MBP 17" in the summer the latest model. i7 and all. Anyways, i bought the moshi mini display port to hdmi adapter. I connected it to my denon avr 3808ci. When i pick DENON-AVR on system preferences i get on my reciever MULTI CH IN. When i play audio it comes only from the front speakers. I have a 5.1 system. 2 floor standers the fronts, a center channel, subwoofer, and 2 rears. the fronts and center have built in subs. my reciver displays PCM DIG in boxes left corner next to each other. HDMI and AUTO below it. MAIN AL24. Left bottom right shows LFE FL C FR SL SR SBL SBR. Right side shows monitor SW FL C FR SL A SR. Everything is backlit except for A.
Can someone explain what is going on and how can i get all the speakers working. If i switch to stereo all the speakers work. 7 CH is the preset.
