iPod cuts songs short!

Pedro, my little green mini, has started cutting off the ends of some of my songs, anywhere from 5-30 seconds. It's always the same songs, though: Marilyn Manson and Britney Spears (I'll thank you all for refraining from commentary). The complete songs are on the iPod, but they just won't completely play. Any ideas?

i don't blame your iPod for not wanting to play those songs... :rolleyes:

Open iPod software updater > restore the iPod > sync music again... Try that.

If that doesnt work, boot your iPod into diagnostic mode;

3G: hold menu+play till the apple logo appears, then quickly press ff,rw and select all at the same time and release when the screen goes blank and run HDD SCAN.

4G:hold menu and select till apples logo appears release those buttons and quickly press rew + select at the same time. again run hdd scan

If hdd scan fails, or music keeps skipping call Apple..

Edit: One more thing you can try is opening Disk Utility and formatting the iPod and then running restore again on it. that will clean up FS fragmentation
