Before if you had a digital download of a movie on the iPhone, it would show a little thumbnail of the chapter. However, i have noticed lately it just shows the chapter details and no thumbnails. Has anyone else noticed this?

Yup. It does it also on all of my ripped movies. I tried re-ripping them again and the thumbnails still do not show. Very irritating.
What I find strange is that I am having a hard time finding other people on the net with the same issue. Either we're only a few with this problem or no one is talking... 🙂
EDIT : BTW, just noticed that you're having the problem on your iPhone. I have it on my iPad.

Hey, I just noticed this on my iPhone as well! What's the deal? I'm running iOS 4.2.1. Also, the thumbnails are missing from files downloaded through iTunes. It's not just stuff I ripped myself.

I gave Apple feedback. It's not the kind of thing people notice right away. I hope it's a bug that just slipped through, that they'll fix.
