Hey All,

Straight up question regarding VMWare and SSDs. Does the old adage "run the virtual machine on a separate disk from the host's disk" still apply to SSD?

I run snow leopard on my pro, and boot Win 7 via VMWare for work. Just about to order a SSD for boot drive, and started thinking if I should get a second SSD to keep the Win7 VMWare disk on.

But, if the old rule doesn't apply, ill keep the cash for something else.

I know this is an old thread, but I would be very interesting to hear any opinions. Need a VM that I use almost exclusively for MS Access (thus quite disk intensive stuff), and I'm not sure whether to put it on the SSD with OS X or on the HDD (in the optibay). Any suggestions?
