but there is still a major question:
the Apple store lists the 4x superdrive in the mini as being a DVD-+RW model so it reads and burns to DVD-R and DVD+R which is different that the Powerbooks that only do the -R. is that true? does this 4x drive REALLY do everything BUT dual layer burning?

Good point.... and its the ability to do all types of dvds which would interest me more than the speed, especially as it will have implications for the next PB revisions.... can anyone confirm the drive as being a multi?

ROTF, the "±" issues is also another typo. ;) :)
Then again the eMac did get a faster burner than the PM and iMac. :)
