I'm trying to connect my macbook to a Panasonic Viera TV. I have the 2nd newest macbook and I bought these three cables to connect it to my tv.

http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB572Z/A

http://www.amazon.com/RiteAV-3-5mm-...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1253779510&sr=1-1

I connected all the cables to my tv and nothing is showing up on the tv, nor is sound coming out of it. I connected the component cable to the rgb ports on the back and the audio cable to the white and red ports next to it. I've tried mirroring the display and various settings on my macbook but I still can't get it to work. Any help would be great. Thanks

Check to make sure you're on the right input, because sound should work no matter what if you're on the right input.

Im on the component input, and I played a movie on itunes with the sound cable in while checking every other input.
