iBook won't sleep

My iBook refuses to sleep. I took it the the Apple Store before for this problem, and the guy showed me how to fix it by resetting the PRAM by holding down command-option-P-R on startup. This time, unfortunately, that's not working (I let it chime 6-7 times). Any other ideas?

Do you have it connected to any USB devices? Sometimes that will keep it awake. Also, you might check your Network setting to see if it set to wake when connected or something like that. I've experianced both problems on my gf's iBook.

Why don't you try deleting the energy saver preference file, then reset the PRAM.

Or maybe delete the energy saver preference file, go into the OpenFirmware (hold down command-option-O-F when you turn your computer on) and then once you are in the OpenFirmware command prompt type in 'reset-NVRAM' and press enter and then type in 'reset-all' (without the quotation marks).

Thats all I can think of for now
