What is the world coming to? (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=46690&item=3869933040&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW)
I guess the best thing about this deal is that her per-square-inch rate will be higher than the guy who sold his forehead for ad space. ('Course, he got $33K for his forehead... hmm, tempting...) :)

All I can do is laugh at that. :D
How would they "advertise"? Stickers?

Who would want to advertise there? Miller, Camel, Planned Parenthood.

I'll have to show this to my wife. She's only 2 months along now. Hopefully the market won't be saturated with too much of this, otherwise we may be out of a lot of money when her belly is "ad ready". ;) :p :p

A condom company should buy the ad space.

Quite a unique way to earn some money. This will be a limited advertising venture. She could be two weeks early or late. I give her credit for being willing to bare her belly. Hopefully it will be something maternity related and tasteful. I hope that she will display the real ad online.

Quick...someone register the domain www.soullessattentionwhore.com and place your bid. It would be great if some MILF pr0n site wins the auction.

Seems as though this has gotten a lot of coverage. She mentioned being on MSNBC and radio stations nationwide. I don't get MSNBC, but would certainly like to see what the actual ad space on her belly will look like.

Hopefully it wasn't one of the office space rental companies, their ads are usually so bland, "For Sale/Lease 800-302-5555"

At least better than the guy who rented ad space on his forehead. At least once the pregnancy is over, one no longer needs to embarrass themselves.

Now things have definitely gone from the ridiculous to the pathetic
Of course I don't blame anyone for trying to make a quick buck, but I think that the buyers either have too much money or a just a little bit, ummm....

This world is rough ... but ... I agree with the condom company suggestion... ohhh! what about a tampons company?? :p ...
I know the auction is over but for the next time we can just hope...

I'm surprised that Richard Branson didn't want to get in on a piece of that action.

I think something like this would be cool if it was "Babies R Us" or something along that line. I think that would be very tasteful. Besides, pregnant women are cute, and I can't help but look at them. :o

I don't blame the buyers are at least the initial wave its good publicity.
The really bizarre thing is that things like this have been predicted by satirists for a while.
Perhaps the only really surprising thing is that its taken this long.
In a way these people are offering themselves up for branding as slaves.
Combine it with the woman selling her lizard tattoo on ebay.
This is one of those areas where things could go really badly, really quickly.
What about the indigent who had "bumfights" tattooed on his forehead for $500.

Apple should've been the ones to hurry up and rent that ad space. It would've been a great spot for the iLife software or something like that. :D

Wow, so you can post about adverts on women's breasts, but make a non-offensive joke/remark about putting adverts on penises and its deleted.
Greeeeaaat, we've got some hype-sensitive people on this board, just what we need.

I'm still hoping that someone will run across the actual ad on her pregnant belly. I noticed that the casino won the bid for the ad above a women's cleavage. Just hope that this isn't done for gambling. The second use is less appealing IMHO. The first is original and cute.

What could he put?
"This woman definitely isn't a Virgin"

Maybe... or he could put "Virgin" and let irony take care of the rest.
"Sigh..." A killer line like that and I have to explain it... ;)
