Hello Everyone,
Just a clarification on the Tiger release date. If I recall correctly: Jobs proclaimed that Tiger will be release in the first half of 2005. Now does that mean the fiscal first half of 05 or does it mean the first six months of 05? Thanks for your input.

The standard interpretation is "before July". Just remember, though, that he promised 3GHz systems by last fall....
However, Tiger seems to be coming along nicely.

Do a freakin' search! (http://forums.macrumors.com/search.php?searchid=1070662)
You might have to scroll down about a half page or so. Nothing major.
Sorry... its just so aggravating to see another one of these...

Don't bust a vein. :)
Just pass the thread by. I understand though. It is repeated threads that push down other new topics off of the top ten list on the front page.

The TOP Repeated thread on MR:
1. Tiger Release date.
2. PowerBook G5.
3. Mac mini (and all its components).
4. PowerMac G5 3GHz.
5. iBook.
6. iPod shuffle/mini/music/photo.
7. iMac.
and the eMac has not limelight as of current. These questions are become more and more repetitive. This means that the search button needs to be prominent and integrated on all levels. :)
MR needs some sort of WARNING system in place. :)

MR needs some sort of WARNING system in place. :)Like a warning message coming up, when someone posts special keywords like Tiger, Powerbook G5 etc.?

IMHO it's very important to be polite. uspcommuter is a newbie and deserves a proper answer. Don't think we want to push members away. At times I haven't found the search all that user friendly, it expects the exact wording. Should be on keywords.
Yes, Tiger should be released by June 30/WWDC.

I would definitely dispute the 3mhz G5 at no.3 ... I think the Mini has pushed it off that slot... :)
There aren't that many of us around here that will be able to afford the 3ghz G5 when/if it turns up... a lot of it is fan-boy ra-ra.

The list now supports LIVE UPDATING. :)
the PMG5 dual 3GHz should fall in the same price slot as the dual 2.5GHz.
I wish I had a use for a desktop now, oh well. :)

The best way to get repetitive threads off these boards is to not answer them. They go pretty quick that way.

Perhaps, a 6 month training period before people can post threads? :D
