View Full Version : Encoding for ATV2 & iPad/iPhone

Hello,

I read through a number of guides about encoding video for shared playback on the ATV2 and the mobile iDevices. In these guides, I routinely see people recommending that you can put the AC3 passthrough track as the first track and the 2ch AAC track for the mobil device second.

I encoded a video doing this, and it is playing in my iPad right now, but without audio. No sound at all. I'm wondering if it's because the AC3 track is first in the audio list.

I'd prefer to have the AC3 track first, but I also want my files mutually workable locally and while mobile. Can anyone specifically confirm that you have a video file working an mobile iDevice with sound where the AC3 track is the first track?
