I've got a PowerMac G5 2ghz DP as a replacement to a Windows PC a couple of months ago - even though it's old, it's a better computer, but the volume (through the same desktop speakers) isn't as loud as the PC. I've looked at all the obvious settings and the volume is still very low by comparison. When I say low, I mean the speakers have to be almost on full volume to match what the PC could throw out (through the same speakers) on a really low setting.

Any ideas?

Thanks.
