Hey, I have about 10 albums worth of itms-purchased songs. In my car I have an old-school mp3/CD discman that I use to play my music (because I can't afford an iPod at the moment).

So, because I dislike a million disks around the car, I usually burn mp3 disks, but itms DRM doesn't let me convert the file type.

Is there a work-around to this? Doing a search, I realized I could (a) burn songs to disk and re-import, or (b) export to iMovie and re-import.

Is there a more elegant solution? I hate to subject these files to double compression, but my car stereo system is hardly the calibre of my home stereo to begin with.

Suggestions? Thanks.

There are ways around it, though I'm not sure how many of them are allowed to be discussed on these forums.

The basic answer is you would need to burn audio CDs then rip the files from there.
