the quickest way to get money is to get a job, something liek ten hours a week can't bog you down that much.

What about selling items you no longer need online? That old baseball mitt, some old books and CDs, or whatever.

I have no idea whether anybody makes money at this, but I imagine you could watch eBay for items that are underpriced, buy them, and then sell them again for a profit. Of course, you could get stuck with items you can't sell for what you thought you could get, but your risk is limited to what you choose to buy/sell.

on Sarcasm
ask "Would you like to know how to make money on the internet?"
put the answer into query
if query = yes
answer "Send me $10 and I'll tell you how."
end if
end Sarcasm

If you have a website that gets a decent amount of traffic, or a lot of friends then Hits4Pay ( http://hits4pay.com/members/index.cgi?emomac) can be a decent way to earn some extra cash.

I will just quote how it works from their site:

1. Signup Reward: Earn $10 in your Hits4Pay account as soon as you signup for a free account.

2. Direct Income: Earn $0.02. Earn $0.02 for each email that you read from us.

3. Direct Referral Income (level one): Earn $0.01. Refer us to a few friends and earn $0.01 for each email that they read. You will get credit for your direct referral reading emails.

4. Referral Income (level two): Earn $0.01. When your direct referrals refer others, you earn $0.01 for them reading the emails we send them.

With our compensation plan, your income is leveraged and could add up to a substantial monthly income, just by reading emails from us.

So just make a spam email (I made one at yahoo) and then click validation links on emails, and then get your friends to do the same (or put it on your site) and you can earn a pretty decent amount. Think about if you referred 10 people who each referred 10 people and then they each read 10 emails. That is 110 * 10 emails * .01 per email = $11. I guess that doesn't seem like too much. But referrals just keep expanding and expanding, so there is a lot of potential.

It is kind of scammish, but it really does have potential.

My sister in law is a Mary Kay rep (or something like that). She goes to trade shows and gets samples and whatnot. She then turns around an sells them on ebay. I don't think she makes a lot of money at it, but it's an easy side job. :)

I made some good cash selling all my CDs on ebay. Burned all the CDs to a hard drive (with DVD backups) and then sold the originals on ebay - made enough to buy my PB 17" 1.33!

call me old-fashioned, but I would suggest:

1. Create a good-quality, unique good and/or service that people want/need.
2. Sell it for a profit.

take advantage of the relatively low effort/capital needed for advertisment.marketing on the web.

There you go.

If you have no particular area of expertise or originality, I would advice you to get a job in a coffee shop or at a GAP store...

To make money online, you need something special. I was thinking for a while to sell cookies made by my mom (they are incredibly good, trust me!) but its againts the law to ship food :-S.

Personnaly, I think the best job you can get is to be a seller in a cloth - video - etc store. It will teach you one of the most important skill in life: communication and public relation! This is a very valuable skill that too many people forget and will be usefull your whole life. This is even more important if you are shy or affraid to talk in public.

Also selling old books/CD/crap on eBay is a good way to find some cash.

But the best way to make money, is to stop spending it on useless crap! Reduce your beer drinking by half, make you own meal, dont rent movies if you can do something else to pass your time, etc... I work with people making way more money than me, yet they can stash 200$ per month because of their spending habit.

Invest all the money you have in something that will give you money, not something that will lose value (ex: computer). Always buy assets, this is the most important thing people should do!

I own a small storage unit facility. About every 18 months or so I auction off contents of people that stopped paying and or can't be found. The few times I have done it, there were people who would buy the crap cause they saw some unique items in it, or an old GI Joe,....

anyway these people go to yardsales and storage unit auctions take the crap to the landfill and make a couple of hundred selling the spoons or games of whatever. some make a job out of it, I'm sure like most things you figure out what sells and stick to it, but they all seemed to enjoy what they were doing, no desk job, that kind of thing. I guess thousands make money on ebay doing that sort of thing.
