Never jailbreaked before. I foolishly tried to upgrade to 4.3 beta for developers. Once I did that, iTunes wouldn't let me. ipad is now in a restore loop and only shows the connect to iTunes screen. When I connect to iTunes, it says I need to do a restore, but everytime I try I get an error message (usually error 1015) saying it could not be restored.

Any suggestions please? Is there any alternate way to wipe the ipad clean and re-sync?

I'm syncing with a MBP.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Ipad was in fact bricked. Luckily I got a replacement under warranty. Be careful updating software!
