Has anybody else been confusing the 2 Minis lately? (iPod Mini and Mac Mini)
I've found myself confusing the 2 more and more these past few days. I often start reading articles about one of the "mini" to find out after a few lines that I had the wrong mini in mind. Maybe it's just me. ^_^ (It often is)
On a related note. When I hear "iPod mini", the first image that pops in my mind is the "Shuffle". My brains promptly correct this but I can't help it. Strange.
Just some random thoughts...

Yeah, it's just you :)
But I still get hung up on how my Mac has a MAC address, *and so does my PC* Yikes. :p

eh if someone just says mini i have to try and figure it out, but usually the context is pretty clear-cut so maybe it is just you :p

The worst is the Airport Extreme and Airport Express....
if you abrivate (try to) it comes out to APE and APX (that is the way i do it) But it still is confusing to some people....

That's because those abbreviations don't distinguish between the two. Both "extreme" and "express" have both "E" and "X" in them. To make matters worse, you have to distinguish between Airport Extreme Base Stations and Airport Extreme Cards.
Almost as bad as Ford Explorer, Expedition, and Excursion.

Haha, yeah the "mini" gets me sometimes. But only when there's no context (such as thread titles - "Help me fix my mini!" can mean either way).
What's really strange is that almost every time I read "shuffle" I read "shuttle" (as in the Shuttle the famous SFF PC maker). :p

The only time I confuse the two is titles of newspapers, forums, articles. When im in a conversation its not that hard. So my consencus is that its just you. :D

This has got to be one of the most confusing (and funnest) threads to read.
Try saying every product you've listed three times fast.. GO!

I've heard plenty of people pronounce it that way, and don't call me Shirley. :D
I haven't run across anything to confuse the minis, other than Mac users who spell it incorrectly.

Ok. I think we pretty much agree now that it's just me. All in favor? ^_^ I must be suffering from some sort of Maclexia syndrome.
But! I found the thread quite entertaining nonetheless so it was not all for nothing.

I just ordered one of those new eMac minis. The cute little 7" CRT screen is adorable, and you can almost carry it wherever you go!
