Hi guys,I "have" this two options:

1)Desktop PC with:
MSI KT3 Kt333 Motherboard
Ahtlon XP 2400+
2x256mb PC3500 DDR
3dfx Voodoo 16Mb

2)Powermac
G4 450MHz Sawtooth
almost 1Gb PC133
Original ati card (16mb I think)

Both will have 8Gb 233X CF Card,and DVD-RW..
I know the PC works "fast" with Ubuntu 10.10.
I lent the powermac to a friend, but remember it was a little "sluggish" with 10.4,maybe due to 5400rpm 2.5' hdd (from my macbook) that I had there when tried, would it worth 30eur to put it an XFX Geforce 6200 card on the powermac and stay with it instead of the pc?
Would 8Gb be ok too 10.4?would it run ubuntu 10.10 fine?
it is just for ocasional use (browsing internet, listening music,etc..)
Thanks and sorry for my bad english

1. Tiger will fit in there, but it wont fit comfortably. Your Mac runs best with 10.3 Panther anyway, which can be made to work in 8GB.
2. If you upgrade the graphics a 450 G4 is a perfectly capable machine for very low end tasks (I can do all web-browsing but video slowly on my G4/450, and perfectly well on my G4/Dual 867
