OK so I installed XMBC.....But

Ok then ive successfully installed XMBC on my apple tv2 but I cant figure out how to play my films from my macbook pro on it?
I assume that in the video section of XMBC on my atv I need too add the source from my Macbook (which is just in my documents folder)
Alas im stuck though.

Any help much appreciated.

You'll need to enable File Sharing (System Preferences>Sharing)

Make sure to click the "Options..." button and enable SMB file sharing.

Then you should be able to browse and pick up the SMB share in the XBMC client.

I also added my media folders to the shared folder menu in file sharing in system preferences on my mac... I don't know if this is 100% necessary but once I had I found them straight away when browsing for sources.
