I have an old quicksilver g4 777mhz ppc which was running on os10.4.11. It was ok for a long time but recently started crashing in some aplications, I have a 10.1 disk and a disk with 10.3 and 10.4 updates, reinstalling the update ran but did not solve the problem, perhaps because I could not start up from this disk. So I did a clean reinstall if the original software (10.1) this worked but now I'm stuck on 10.1 and the installer for 10.4 won't work at all and the 10.3 starts of ok and mounts and the installer opens but nothing happens, any help would be much appreciated. Also I downloaded a 10.1.5 update but this says I need installer update, I found installer update 1.0, this installed to the stage where I choose where to install but my hard drive was greyed out and could not be selected
