I'm not sure if I am posting in the right forum but here goes..

I use videoseed and demonoid to download mp4's....almost 98% of the mp4 files I download to my computer work on videoseed..

Now here is my question..

I am wondering what seems like a widescreen mp4 versions I get from videoseed don't work with my first generation apple tv...

Is there a way I can convert the files to work on the apple tv.....

I'm using a macbook pro on 10.6.x and like I said first Generation apple tv..

Sorry if this question is in the wrong place. I apoligize...hopefully I can resolve the issue..

Thanks a ton in advance for any replies..

:D

I'm not sure what you're trying to do is even comprehensible :)

You're probably not getting replies because you came right out and said that you are torrenting files, and most of us are going to assume, therefore, that you are downloading pirated content. Discussion of such topics is generally a no-no on this site, so you are probably not going to get much help.

That said, I'll offer these two nuggets: hack your ATV to play other codecs and containers, or use Handbrake.

Moralism is also a no no in this forum. Especially without proof.

Indeed...... Name three files from either of these torrent sites top 100 downloads that is not infringing upon someone's copyright.

If you read my post you'll see that I wasn't passing moral judgement. I only suggested that the content of the OPs post might be a reason for the lack of responses. Also, I pointed him towards a solution (hacking the ATV or using Handbrake to convert to a compatible file format), which is far more than you did.
