my dad has ms and now only has the use of one hand, he is now unable to hold a newspaper and turn the page, I took my ipad over to him and he was able to use it with his left hand so he bought one for himself anyway.......
I have the incase leather case so he bought that too but he cannot control the weight og his hand and when he uses the ipad it will push it off the slit of the case(this is when hes reading and wants to go to the next page)
basically im looking for a case that will sit at a good angle for him and will not move even if he touches it??? hope you understand :D

The zoogue v2 might be the perfect case for him. The stand can be set at any angle using two velcro tracks and could be set to those angles easily with one hand. That way the case will not slip when applying pressure to the screen. Just my two cents.

Thanks. I'll check that out.

Have a look at the Yoobao Magic case, with the various options of angles and steady base, it may be a good option.

If weight's a problem the Apple case is practically nonexistent! It's also made from a "grippy" neoprene-like material which I prefer to the other shiny, slippery cases out there. Makes it easy to hold and manipulate and reduces the chance of drops. Downside is that it only sits on a table at one stable angle (suitable for typing or head-down reading).

Might be worth a trip to the Apple store to explain your specific needs. See if you can test-drive some cases?

It's called the Handeholder. Your dad can strap an iPad onto his hand or even his leg without the added weight of any case.....I haven't used it but saw it in Macworld magazine and thought of this post.

I see you're in the UK.
Take a look at this (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-CASE-iPAD-BLACK-BROWN-LEATHER-APPLE-iPAD-/180553492433?pt=UK_Computing_Apple_Mac_Accessories&hash=item2a09d3a7d1) one - it doesn't look or feel as cheap as you think it might, and the different angles & ways to stand it are numerous. After being a bit underwhelmed with the Apple case I went looking for one that wouldn't cost much but would do the job - wasn't particularly bothered what it looked like. It's quite nice though - I was surprised. It's very well padded and feels reassuringly solid. 8 with free delivery has to be worth a punt. I use it stood up - my kids flick the pages and it doesn't move a bit.

looks good for the price, the problem with the incase one he has is its slipping off the groves when he's touching the ipad, not sure if this one would have the same problem??

I honestly think he'll be ok mate. As I say, I have mine stood up like the pic below now, on a cushion on my lap. Two-finger typing away here and it's not going anywhere. You can see it creates a kind of wrist-rest too. It's actually not in a groove there, the bit with the iPad in is butted up against the 'rest' at the front. It's rock solid, even if you do use the grooves.
