I know its been covered before, I searched and couldnt find anything. My ipod is about dead, 3g and i want a new battery but not $99 from apple, whats the best place, longest battery life, are they as good as the originals? thanks a lot

I picked up a $43 (including tax) battery at a local retailer for my 1st Gen iPod and the battyery life seems to be about 20 hours and I've seen no problems.
So yeah, they do seem to be as good as (or better than) the original batteries.
