I was wondering if there was any way to change my Mac OS X theme to look like something else. I want it to look old and nasty like OS 9, or something else.

Is there a program I need to use themes?

Free program? Free themes?

Thanks. Yes the name "Shapeshifter" comes to mind. Go to macupdate and search for that. It is shareware i think.

okay, i've got shapeshifter working.

You really want it to look like Classic? Hmm...

Anyways, you can always just start up Classic mode. Then it's look exactly like OS 9. :)

Yes there are a few Classic or Classic-Style themes around out there. There are a good half-dozen sites with a nice selection of themes. I there are links from the ShapeShifter page to some of them.

i like the classic look and have gotten it to work with shapeshifter.

what do i do when shapeshifter's demo expires? i'm in college so i cannot afford to pay for it.

are there other programs that would work?

are there other programs that would work? No, unfortunately if there is no other decent choice. I would pay it. It is well worth it.
