Can iTunes on the iPad background download?

I want to dowload a season of a TV show from itunes in my iPad, if I come out of iTunes, will it continue to download in the background?

As long as you have iOS 4.2, then yes. 3.2.2 will not.

Yes it will. Store downloads have always continued in the background in iOS, ever since v1.0
