I'm not quite sure where to post this as it's really a software related query. However, I'm putting together a proposal to change our office PC based network over to Mac.

If I give you all a brief run down on what we have, perhaps you guys can suggest the Mac alternative.

We have 4 PCs all running Windows XP Pro.
Single server running MS SBS 2000 (!) - File and Print sharing
MS Exchange Server 2000 for email, public folders sharing, etc.
(Lots of Anti-Virus software  on server and workstations)
MS ISA Server 2000 doing software firewall/content filtering as well.

All the hardware is from Dell and have never had a fault with it.

The computers and server are coming up to their 5 year cycle when we look at changing.

As you can imagine network admin is essential with SBS (hotfixes/patches) to make sure the network won't be infected with viruses.

I am looking to get a Mac client/server network. Don't really need a rack mount server, a G5 PowerMac tower would do (space issue).

I guess 4 iMacs would do the trick (nice large displays for CAD work).

Back to my main question - What is the OS X equivalent of MS Exchange server. We really need to be able to share calendars, email, etc. We use the public folders in exchange to store project files (documents/spreadsheets as well as emails) so they can be shared easily and are visible from one place.

The work we do involves using MS Office and creation of PDFs and being able to open and edit AutoCAD files (not created by us though).

Could any recommend suitable software to recreate an exchange type environment on a OS X server??

Any advice or comments will be greatly appreciated.
