Recently my Macbook Air (Late 2008) started to be noisy. Fan is at high speeds even when it's in idle. It was dead quiet since I remember. Also there is a problem with touchpad button, it's making clicking noise when pressed (also a new thing) and it's cleary bulged. Are those issues which are covered by Apple Care? If so, what's the best way to get it fixed. On Apple website it's mentioned that I can visit Apple Authorized Service Provider (Cancom UK in my case), but I'm not sure if they provide service(free) with Apple Care.

All suggestions appreciated

As far as I'm aware as long as your AppleCare is current they cover everything except you dropping it and breaking the screen or spilling coffee on the machine.

AppleCare is probably a better place to ask than this forum, though. It doesn't cost anything to call them up and ask them if they cover it. Doesn't Apple have stores in the UK? I think if you go to an authorised service provider they bill Apple anyway. That's at least how it was for me years ago when I had to use Tekserve in NYC to replace an old iMac G3's slot-loading CDROM drive.

Went there and left my macbook for repair. They said it's all covered by Apple Care. They'll fix loose hinges as well. Apple do have Retail Stores, but the closest one to me is in different city.

Got my macbook air back. They said, they fixed the touchpad button, to be honest I can't see the difference. New thermal paste was applied, see some improvement in that. Hinges weren't fixed, because Apple said that there was a small dent on the display's cover. Hardly noticable, only under certain angle, 2mm long, maybe 1mm deep. Overall not happy with the service.
