Anyone running the nightly builds? Is the GUI speed much improved?

Yes, improved by a huge margin for me 🙂

I use PM3 skin and find it slightly faster than confluence.

Have you tried the Transparency skin?

Seems like the apple tv isn't fond of the transparent elements in Confluence

I have tried it but I don't like that skin. In the latest nightly build all skins perform better than the official release version so I would highly recommend it. Make sure you switch off thumbnails generation to get better performance.
