New Powerbook + GPS Software

Okay its time to replace my 3 year old TI 667mhz G4 Gig Ethernet model powerbook with something a little more up-to-date.

I am interested in either the 12" but am a little dubious of the screen so might go for the 15" not sure yet.

I have also been looking at Bluetooth GPS receivers, aparantly any GPS Bluetooth receiver will work with Mac's because they don't have the dodgy USB-Serial chip that many USB receivers have.

Can anyone recommend any good route planning software for use in the car (12" powerbook will come in handy here) ... I suppose I could use virtual pc but that's not very nice.

I already have Route 66 2004 Britain and didn't know it did turn by turn instructions which is excellent! I just need to get the 2005 Europe one as I am going to be doing a bit of driving on the mainland.

I have also read that Bluetooth GPS receivers will work streight out with hosts that go SPP (Serial Port Profile) which the mac does, so I'm guessing that any Bluetooth receiver will work....

Can you also guide me on the powerbook, is the 12" screen going to be worse than my TI 15"'s ??? I mainly use the laptops for DVD's whilst away from home so you can tell between a bad and a good screen or will it be okay.
