Anyone have an alternative DVD RW external drive they'd recommend? The $79 for Apple's seems a bit steep to me.

I use HPs with my Mini. It gets the job done, and on sale for $45.

You can buy a bare DVD drive for $16 and connect it with an adapter that costs $20. This adapter will connect SATA or EIDE drives, optical or hard drives to a USB port. I have used mine for a lot of trouble shooting of hard drives.

I'm considering buying this one:
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-External-Optical-SE-S084D-TSBS/dp/B0044DEDBG/ref=dp_ob_title_ce
Its got good reviews and is a decent price compared to the SuperDrive.

I think that's the one I have. Works brilliantly.
