Just updated my 3G ipod touch OS to 4.2 (the version recommended by iTunes) and am having issues with my home button. I did some research and found out that the multitasking menu is supposed to require a double click to access. When I click it once it sometimes accesses the multitasking menu, and sometimes it will bring me back to the home screen. It's totally unpredictable! Anyone know what's happening here or know of a way to fix it?
