I've been having issues with my MBA and cannot figure out a solution. I've contacted Applecare several times, but nothing they've suggested works either. My problem is that my computer is unable to send video over VGA. The projectors I've been forced to work with at school only have vga inputs, and when I plug in the micro-dvi to vga adapter all I get is a black screen.

The weird part is that the computer recognizes the connection (and so does the projectors and monitors) but a black screen is all that is projected. When I use the laptop with a DVI monitor or projector (via micro-dvi to dvi) it works brilliantly.

I've tried changing the micro-dvi to vga adapter, changing the cables, resetting PRAM and SMC, and booting into safe mode. None of these have changed the outcome.

Any suggestions?
