iPod touch iPod Touch 1G Stolen

Okay, so I know that everyone has heard this story before, however, my iPod touch was stolen awhile ago, and I have done everything to find it. I have talked to the school officer and done just about everything but my iPod is nowhere to be found. I was wondering if there was some why for my iPod to be recovered as I know the serial number, but have not installed any special apps on it to trace it. Please help me

that cannot be tracked. Maybe buy a newer one off eBay?
