Hi

Anyone out there who have experience in changing harddrive on a new iBook 12" G4, 1.2Ghz? Is it very tricky to get access to the HD? I like to replace the 60 Gb, 4200RPM HD with a Hitachi 60GB, 5400RPM, (9.5mm) I guess this will boost the performance with 10-20%

Thanks for advise

Try searching the forums on this topic. I think it was discussed before. And i'm sure there are walk throughs on how to do this.

It is VERY TRICKY. iBooks are harder to take apart than PowerBooks. If you're doubting yourself, then you might not want to do this.

Warranty will be voided. Apple Stores might be able to do this for you for a fee without voiding your warranty.

But because it is so new, I wouldn't risk it.
