Yeah, there was this one guy that posted like 10 'End of TiBook' threads and backed himself up with a quote from Crazy Apple Rumors

Then there was another one in the past couple days about saving Farscape. This one mainly resurrected dead threads, although he did put up one legit one which eyelikeart closed, but it's been a problem recently. If anybody does it again, I've got the Vikings primed and ready.:D

I think the hint was -- report the post.

But in the last example you gave edvniow, even he lost track of how many times he posted his message.

i didn't follow all of the 'save farscape' posts but i do support the attemp... farscape was awesome and i'm still saddened that it was cancelled...

ok sorry for saying that again.

Yeah, yeah, I'm a newbie, but I don't think I fully understand this spamming thing. Is it when you say something unrelated or something already said before?

y/n Q: ......... ?

Post 1: Yes.

y/n Q: ......... ?

Post 2: Yeah.

Q: ......... ?

Post 3: I agree.
...

That's spam.

For some many posts... that's spam as well.

Although you won't find it in a dictionary!

At least, if you are going to post something useless/repetitive, do it in the Community Discussion, away from the strictly Mac-related departments.

Spamming can also be posting the exact same thing multiple times. Its been done on occassion. Farscape was the latest. Although not the worst by far.

Thanks for the info.

That was spam right? I'll try to stay away from it because it seems to me that that can get annoying very fast.

I am responsible for the Farscape posts and I did and I do appologize. I do want to point one thing out though, even though it matters not. When I was making the posts they were not copy and paste but each was unique and written at the moment.

Again I am sorry. I just got very worked up over it.

That seems like a long time ago now though.:)
