Okay, so the new Powerbooks just came out, right?

My Dad finally said I can get a new computer right after WWDC.

Now for question #1 - when the hell is it?

2: Will the G5's be out?

3: Or will there be a G4 rev?

4: Will the price come down?

1) Not yet known.
2) The G5's are already out you can have them in either the PowerMac range of single or dual processors or the iMac range of single processors. The full specs. are on Apple's website. ;)
3) I would expect there to be an update of the G4's somewhere in either the eMac/Mac mini/iBook range I doubt there'll be one quite so soon in the PowerBook range.
4) It's possible but it would coincide with a spec. change so it's all relative.

Just buy it now.

I would be scared to buy a Rev. A G5 Powerbook anyways. The Powerbook is much faster than some of these guys say - and it has all the kinks ironed out. A near-flawless machine.

IMHO

1A: Yes

1B: Congratulations, that's very nice of your Dad.

1C: Should be at the end of June, at least last year it was end of June beginning of July.

2: Don't look for a G5 anytime soon, like others it would be best not to get Rev A.

3: Not likely that they will update the PowerBook that soon.

4: Even is there was an update in 4 months, the price usually remains the same. The older model would probably be less. It's a matter of getting upgraded hardware at the same price.

We don't know if anything is coming up, but it's probably not. WWDC should not expect an update...

Depends on WWDC date, but I think it's safe to say there won't be an update, yeah.
