Oh man, that brings back memories. I always used to see this video on either 120 minutes or Alternative Nation, can't remember which. Ahh, when MTV was actually GOOD.

On mine too! I actually heard Drugstore's cover version before the original (and I only have that on vinyl so it isn't on my iPod yet) but this one is amazing. Saw them live a year or two ago and it's still in their set list.

I hated this song when it came out originally because they abused it on the radio and played it everywhere. Kinda like tripping daisy (i think). Anyhow, I really enjoyed Yoshimi so much later and don't mind the song so much now, but wouldn't say its the best. I'd go for "Spoonful Weighs a Ton" or something before this song.

I recently moved into a smaller apartment, so I had to eliminate a lot of the stuff I didn't use. I went through a lot of old VHS tapes and found a few episodes of 120 minutes and Alternative Nation. It was back when "Cherub Rock" was the "Buzz Clip" -- remember that?

Ahhh, early 90's alternative was so fabulous.

Dave Kendall rocked my socks. :) Definitely the best late night TV ever. Mmmm...interviews with James and the Candyskins and the Furs.... Teenage Bandwagon coming on and getting blustered trying to convince Dave that they were Scottish and not British. :D And the Cure, oh the Cure.

Mmmmm..... :D

Yeah, in fact one of the episodes I have was a 6-part interview with the Cure. I used to be OBSESSED with them (got a tattoo of their Quadpus album and everything, yikes!). This was right around when "Show" came out, so there were tons of live videos, plus your typical incoherent Robert Smith interview.

Wow, they have clips of Dave Kendall on his website: davekendall.com
