At my work's Mac lab we're thinking of getting some Mac related posters/artwork. The Think Different posters are great but they are B&W and we're looking for some color, and they are expensive! Anyways, anyone know of something that would work well, and look more like artwork than advertisements? Thanks.

I was born in Buffalo so I guess I'll swing in to steal some fun. Not sure about color posters. I'm itching to get my hands on the Edmund Hillary "Think Different" without paying through the nose.

Don't limit yourself to posters though. You gotta think outside the box. Try to get yourself some early Apple mags and either frame them as is or scan them and blow them up to 24 x 36. In essence, create your own. My gf has the cover of the first issue of Macworld in her office cubicle and it looks pretty slick. If you don't have any lying around you can check the used bookstores in town or hit a university library if there is one nearby.

Could really go for a Ted's right now...

Just a quick update: my friend is looking for some prices on the posters for those that asked. He works for the Apple store and is trying to find some :D by the end of the week I should know of price & where to get them.

Hi Blakespot

Great set-up. You have a MP attached to your iBook, what type of connector is that on the desk? I have a collection of Newtons I would love to connect to my iBook also.

Cheers

Thank! I use this:

and this:

To get apps on the Newton under OS X. I use the drivers for the Keyspan device under OS 9 (that iBook can native boot it) to do development work with the Newton Dev Kit. Works great.

In the Mac lab at my school they just threw out a bunch of old posters, one was about the Appletalk network with a guy standing next to a giant chalkboard, and then there were a few other education-based Apple posters...

Sad to see them go...

That is sad...
Somewhere in the Net I heard about an abandoned Apple Center in Kuwait that is full of posters, and abandoned software, and even some old Macs.
As if time had stopped in the store...
I found it in a blog, and a guy explained his sadness and a bit of desesperation because someone was going to close it definitely or something like that... He says that he has been trying to contact the owners, but that he can't...
:(
