hi all,

just wondering if any of you experts (tried Google) know of any file management apps that uses an interface like the stock Photos and Reeder app whereby folders can be un-pinched to reveal what's in it (i'm a sucker for nice interfaces like these :p)

thanks for watching!

ps: sent a request to iFile (jailbroken one) to see if they will ever implement something like that *fingers crossed*

As far as we know you can't bring in album covers from iTunes. We tried.

Images as well as document files can show preview images, but video and audio would have to be icons or some sort of graphical representation.

So when you pinch it open it's going to be a mish-mash of icons and previews.

So you pinch it open and staring back at you are 30 icons that are all the same. How are you going to know which is which? What about video? Documents could work if they all have images as a front cover but how many word docs do you know have those?

It's a good idea, but it wouldn't work.

hi jeff,

thanks for your fast response! :) with the issue on hand, files could be shown with generic mac-like icons for music, documents and such (not a need for a "preview image" so to speak) and maybe show the file name at the bottom so it is far more indicative. maybe limit the file name shown to 10 - 15 characters or so?

just food for thought :p
