Beginner Mac Book for grandparents Any advice?

Hi there.

My grandparents are really intrigued by computers and want to try one out to do basic stuff - research, etc... I'm going to give them an old one I have and will give them all the help I can. I wanted to try and find them a good book that might explain things from a task-based perspective ("I want to print something...") as opposed to a technical perspective ("Printer Setup is located here...").

If anyone's had a similar goal or just knows of a book that's put together in a beginner-friendly way and can point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it - and so would my grandparents 😉

Macs for Dummies, 8th Edition is probably a good place to start.

If you have a .mac account, the training videos they have are excellent for beginners.

Anything by the Dummies.

Books are so good they do Dummies for Cars/health/finance/ the list goes on.

Just make sure the book matches the computer – no point in giving them OSX for Dummies if they're running OS9...

The Missing Manual series by David Pogue consistently gets rave reviews.
