Hi all,

Including the side scrolling rocker, it looks like there are ten buttons on the mx1000. Are all ten programmable or just eight as on the mx900?

Thanks

From what I read, only 8. The scroller rocker scrolls side to side, like the scroller scrolls up to down. It's not programmable.

Checking the control panel, you can program 9 of them.

wheel
left
right
thumb (back)
thumb (forward)
quick switch
cruise up
cruise down

I think the left click button though is limited to a simple click option. The other 8 are programable with either logitech functions, or one can setup the buttons to work with other osx features (expose in my case)

Set the button you want to use as an "Advanced Click"
Then in its options, have it as a regular click, and give it a new button number. (eg I have the back/forward/app switch buttons as 4/5/6)

Then go to the exposé settings and set it to those button numbers.
