Hi, my brother has just purchased a mac mini and he is planning on using his old 80gb harddrive and pioneer 106 drive from his pc with the mini via external enclosures (firewire/usb2.0)

I just wanted to know if anyone else is doing this and if there has been any issues?

Thanks

The hardrive will have to be wiped and volumed for OSX (disc utility) - you'll also have to make sure the jumpers are properly set.

You may have some issues trying to burn in Finder with the Pioneer, but you can always use Toast, which is less fussy.

Have a look at http://www.xlr8yourmac.com for additional info.
