Activating rotation lock on iOS 4.3 removes sound

Maybe I am just daft but, I love that I can now choose my switch on iOS 4.3 as my rotation lock (again!!) yet once I activate my rotation lock in setting I loose all sound on my iPad. Its like revenge of the mute button!! Anyone having the same issue or am I just missing something quite basic here?

Settings -> General. You can set what it does there.

Before you go to settings

First make sure your sound is not muted then go into setting and make changes.
