New iMac and Epson 2200 not calibrated, any ideas?

I just got a new iMac and I have a Epson 2200. I'm a photographer and have been trying to print a new book I've put together, Problem is the printer is printing too dark. I'm printing out of InDesign CS but the problem exists when printing from Photoshop as well. I never had a problem with my old G3 iMac. Any ideas on how to best calibrate the printer so that what I print is what I have on my screen? I've searched other threads but haven't found anything on this subject, please correct me if I'm wrong.
