View Full Version : BEST WAY TO USE A HD on mac and PC

I'd like to use my maxtor 300gb with my two computer.
It is formatted NTFS and on MAC It's very slow tranfert rate.
I do video so I new that my HD handle larges files!
PLEASE HELP!

PB 800 and AMD 1.5

FAT32. Mac OS X (10.3.5+) has limited write capabilities to an NTFS volume.

FAT32 has a 4 GB filesize limit. Just letting you know if you deal with big file sizes.

If you are primarily using it on the Mac. Format it in Mac OS Extended, and use MacDrive to access it from the PC. It is a little slower on the PC but still pretty good.
