Using apple tv 2 for computer display

Hi fellas..getting ready to order the new MBP....IF i get the new apple tv, is there any way to use it as a monitor out? Would be a lot easier then a hdmi for the projector and a optical out for the HT receiver [older receiver, no HDMI]. Is there any way to do this, or can i only broadcast stuff from the macbook to the apple tv. Thanks
